U-GREEN USB SSD Enclosure Review!

I recently had to swap an M.2 SSD from a Sandisk Extreme casing and the previous version of this U-GREEN product had served me well. Now upgraded to include a screwdriver for the drive mounting and tiny screw to hold case together, this is a nice upgrade from the previous version that had a really awkward rubber bung to hold the drive in place and relied on resistance to keep the case together. Whilst I had no issues, this version feels much sturdier. Also included is a thermal pad to keep the SSD cool as some of the newer ones do thermal throttle. U-GREEN also include 2 USB cables with an A to C and a C to C cable. My work pc only has USB3 so I was seeing less than optimal transfer speed, but in use it felt fast enough for me. If I’d have used the rear port which is buried under the desk I’m sure the speeds would have been much more impressive.

Still after installing the SSD which really was less than 5 mins including the thermal pad, plugging it in and making sure all was well it just worked with no fuss whatsoever. Some reviews are just so short and sweet that this is about it for this one. Priced well at £19.99 from Amazon in the UK right now I have zero complaints and it just does what it is supposed to do. Recommended if you need something like this and paired with a half decent NVME SSD it makes for a compelling backup and storage drive.
